What are the phases of Orthodontic Treatment?

The normal time taken by orthodontic braces is between six to thirty months to complete. The treatment type depends on classification, type of dental service used to correct the problem, and perseverance of the patient. Here, we have explained three phases of orthodontic treatment.

1.The Preparation Stage: In the planning stage, an orthodontist diagnoses the problem to realign the teeth in the most effective and good way. In the first several visits a medical and dental evaluation is done. Even the specialist studies the model where he will ask you to bite down into a dental tray filled with a gel-like substance that hardens around the teeth. With its help, the models of the patient’s teeth are created. Then, after performing two of these activities, he will take an x-ray to look at your complications or pre-existing damage caused to the joint. Through an "x-ray, the exact position of the teeth will be checked by him.

2.The Active Phase: All the tools are used to diagnose and develop a customized treatment plan for the patient. Next, he will recommend a custom orthodontic device for shifting the teeth into proper alignment. The orthodontic appliance depends on your requirement as both fixed and removable options are available. Most patients get traditional braces, as the treatment is cheaper than removable ones. Lingual braces are also fixed options, but they are less visible because they get fit on the inside (tongue side) of the teeth to make them less visible. Removable braces are an alternative to fixed braces. Invisalign braces are a good option for that. They are designed to be worn for a specified amount of hours each day to expedite treatment. Whatever the Highland park orthodontic device you wear like Highland park braces, the orthodontist will check them to ensure continual pressure is being applied on the teeth. During treatment time, it is beneficial to visit the auburn hills dentist. Once the treatment gets complete, you can hire them to take Highland park braces.

3.The Retention Phase: When the teeth become aligned. the appliance will be removed from your teeth. The most crucial time of orthodontic treatment is now over. Your …. will next create a custom retainer. The goal of the retainer is to make sure that teeth are not shifting back to their original positions. Retainers are worn for a specific period per day and during the retention phase, the jawbone will reform around the realigned teeth to fully stabilize them in the correct alignment.

So, all these are three phases of Highland park orthodontic treatment. Once they get complete, you can easily take the treatment to remove stains from the teeth.
